Keys family correspondence, mostly addressed to Henry Keys in Westfield, Ind., detailing the lives of family members in Hamilton and Randolph Counties, Ind. Included are two letters from Timothy J. Rich to his sister Susan while serving during the Civil War with the 57th Indiana Infantry, and the marriage certificate of Henry Keys and Susan Rich.

Keys' parents moved to Indiana from North Carolina about 1830. He was a resident of Westfield, Hamilton County, Ind. and married Susan Rich in 1856. The 57th Indiana Volunteer Regiment was organized at Richmond, Ind. It served in Kentucky, Tennessee, Georgia, and Texas, where it was stationed at Port Lavaca. William W.
